The hotel is currently under renovation, so hotel bar, restaurant equipment are closed (there is breakfast delivered to room). But if you are looking for a place to stay and mostly need a bed, then this is a great place. Features nice big and modern rooms. Great place to get some rest

Active build site no amenities available price should be adjusted for this. The shower floods the entire bathroom where I stayed could easily be avoided with a small ledge between shower and rest of bathroom.

The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean with hot water. The view from the window was breathtaking. But, the covers of the bed and the pillow were not that clean.

This place is absolutely amazing! I could not believe how luxurious this was when I got there. Its photos are definitely not doing justice. Everything is beautiful - the lounge is gorgeous and decorated with beautiful taste, rooms are ever so clean and spacious, toilets are so modern and stunning. The station is literally across the streets from it with quick access to the Rotterdam centre.

Currently undergoing refurbishment, so cant comment on facilities due to being closed. Lovely rooms though and great location for the public transport.

Nice room. The hotel needs to improve its reception service. A hotel this large and busy should be able to afford sufficient staff numbers and staff training. Also, the wooden floors make sound reverberate around the hallways terribly.

Very good hotel. Did a mistake in booking and personal on the reception where very helpful and friendly to find a solution. Rooms are clean, and well equipped. I will definitely recommend that place.

The ground floor of the hotel is currently being renovated, including the restaurant. That means guests can enter the completely stripped down lobby through a terribly looking back door. The staff was polite, they did everything they could despite the constantly crashing software which caused that cards did not always open the room doors and that the second morning they weren't able to provide me breakfast (they informed me that due to a software malfunction my breakfast request had been lost). Although my room was on the 11th floor the windows weren't protected by bars or by any kind of protective measures, they could be opened wide. Pretty unsettling. The room was alright but overall this hotel is pretty far from **** level.

This hotel has become a street Hostel, nothing that justifies 4 stars hotel and thé price we paid in hopes of getting that service. No fitness room, reception under dust and construction, restaurant closed, staff not knowing how to deal with the situation. Will fight with booking for a reduction as it was impossible to get a responsible at the hotel. Seems like Hotel is in that situation since Feb, not a word to let us know in advance or compensate the missing service at full price.

Location is amazing, service is little slow and rooms are very good. Over all great value for money.

This is a beautiful hotel, very well decorated and clean. You can tell a lot if work has gone into the finer details at this hotel. Room was clean and done to a great standard, we had plenty of space, almost like a small apartment and bed was so comfortable. My only negative would be that I felt the breakfast was slightly overpriced but of course that's optional. We are really pleased to have stayed here.

The beds are AMAZING ! And the fitness room is very nice. BUT I’m surprised by the total absence of ecological policy : - it’s freezing in the lobby whereas it was 30degrees celcius outside - the aircon is set on 18 degrees in the room ! - they automatically change the towels everyday without prior asking (ex: leave it on the floor if you want a new one) - instead of dispensers of shower gel and shampoo in the shower there are single use plastic small bottles of cheap shampoo and shower gel. Moreover the bathroom gets flooded when one takes a shower (and the toilet is in the same room), the staff is not friendly, and the decoration in the room is terrible.

Terrible experience. Had a room booked for two nights but could not make it on the first night. Sent a message via the booking agency used and arrived at the hotel at 07:00 the next morning to be told that my room was cancelled. Even though it was paid for TWO nights....had to pay an additional night while they apparently checked the manager and they then refused to honour the first booking. Had I booked for one night, I would understand but the booking was made for two nights and already paid for. Will never stay here again. The best thing about the hotel were the restaurant staff and the rooms. The service at the front desk was abysmal.

good hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. Although we struggled with the check-in process due to the arrival time and the blocked room door, we found a solution. The hotel manager asked us to check out a day earlier for some reason we don't know, but this problem was also solved and she apologized. Nice guy and the Turk (velni) if I'm not mistaken. The most beautiful thing that happened at the hotel and the reason for the good rating was the receptionist Ioanna. We will come again just for her.

I had the opportunity to stay at this property last weekend and was very pleased with the entire experience! The hotel lobby is nicely updated and incredibly clean with lots of space to relax or get some work done. The room was clean, bright, and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The service was also incredible and what compelled me to write this review! Even though the hotel was fully booked, the manager let us check in to our room 2 hours early so we could drop our bags and freshen up before heading into the city to explore. Furthermore, I lost 1 Airpod in the bed and didn't realize until a few days later- I emailed the hotel and they responded within minutes that they found the Airpod and offered to mail it back to me! I will stay here again! 10/10.

This was the best hotel room we've ever stayed in. The lovely lady at reception kindly upgraded us to the corner suite. It has a wonderful view of the mural next door and the designer metro station. The place fully merits the name of art hotel with beautiful paintings and stylish furniture and lighting. It is incredibly clean and the connection to the centre of town was so easy. We won't consider staying anywhere else next time we're in Rotterdam.

The room I stayed was at the 11th floor and it was way better than what I expected. Nice comfy bed and chairs, bathroom was neat and beautiful too. Temperature control, it has a safe, and staffs were friendly too

Stayed in Art Hotel Rotterdam on a business trip. Great location, Very friendly staff and very comfortable room. Location - 9/10 Reception - 10/10 Check in - 10/10 Room - 10/10 (Well noise isolated room. I was afraid I would be kept awake by the metro and the traffic! ) Check out - 10/10 Recommend - Yes Return - Yes

If you are with a car do not use their parking! You should first park in public parking outside (pay for 30 minutes) then check in and only then you will be let to their internal parking! The same with check out, you have to leave parking and then check out. It's just so stupid. In normal hotels you take a ticket and park but here they give you the key... Also parking is not very comfortable because of 2 levels parking.

Nice place. Cozy, comfortable and calm. Metro 50 m near, and in 15 minutes you are in city center. Nice view from room What I don't like : Few times was problems with towels. It's was not 100% clean. And, to my opinion need change zone, with coffe and cups for coffee. It's dirty. Because it's old and impossible to clean 100%.

I liked the hotel, the only few things i disliked was the fact i could constantly hear the subway every 15 minutes. That made it hard to fall asleep. I expected a little more of the breakfast but it was good for that price. Overall it was a good experience.

My 4th time staying at the art hotel and it never disappoints. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant. Angie at reception is fantastic, always happy to help and nothing is too much trouble.

They didn't want to collaborate for a change in dates. I ended up losing all my money from the reservation. I wanted to say one day less and they wanted me to pay 100 euros more so I would not lose the reservation. If you want to reserve in this hotel don't even think of changing the dates because they will make sure to charge you more. Not helpful staff on the phone.

My wife and I are two British Doctors visiting Rotterdam to see a friend. I booked this hotel by mistake, recognised my mistake within 60 minutes and cancelled, they refused to grant any refund at all. Unethical, low, money-grabbing people. I will make sure to spread the word among my friends and family to never stay here when visiting Rotterdam.

Great hotel. Just one little thing: i called reception for an iron at 13.50. The guy said if i can find one ill send someone, otherwise its not available.. do he never called and i got the message. Nothing really wrong but still weird procedure. So the rest of the day i had a wrinkled shirt. I wonder when rooms will be 300-400 euro per night this still is acceptable..

I really like the fire place in winter It is not so far from the city centre Room is fine but i had a bad experience with the sink of the toilet it was totally noisy all the night But in general it is ok it is very colourful you feel the arts inside in the walls

Very nice hotel, clean and tidy, stylish and we felt welcome and comfortable. Despite located by the metro station, noise was not disturbing much.

very large hotel, location far from the center, expensive prices, rooms on very high floors because the hotel is high and the service is nothing special, I will not repeat

Nice hotel with interesting features. Would stay only out of necessity as room smelled of cigarette smoke and personally I dont like the smell. Otherwise room was in exelent clean condition and very spacious. Staff at hotel front desk was very attentive and got us booked in with instructions how and where to park the car. Bar served us with drinks to take to our room although we arrived quite late in the evening. This is a no for me, but if you dont mind the cigarette smell its good place to stay while visiting Rotterdam.

First the positive : nice, clean, big rooms for a family stay. Great view : you can see the port and the Maas. The staff was very friendly, which is always helpful! Unfortunately the area is not very nice. Yes, the metro is close, but as a woman I wouldn't feel safe here - it is very mal dominated outside - I didn't see any women working in the supermarkets or shops. The hotel was okay, but it is not a 4 star hotel. I would personally give is a solid 3 stars rating - also because of the area it is in.

Iconic and modern infrastructure with a touch of traditional architecture. Rooms are spacious. On the ground floor a restaurant where breakfast is served on the morning (not the best choice but enough) and dinner (Italian). Reception guys are polite. Whether not center located, the hotel lies on the D and E subway lines which is an asset expecially if you carry heavy luggages.

The front desk staff has no interest whatsoever to be of assistance. We asked for an iron & an ironing board and never got it. When I called them the next morning I was told that I could pick it up at the reception. We were staying on the 11th floor and because there are only 2 elevators, it would have taken me forever to pick up the items. Reluctantly I was told that someone would bring it up within the next 15 mins. Every day one of the two cards to enter the room wasn't working, which meant that one of us had to travel down to the reception to have the card unlocked. The first 2 days the room was cleaned, on the 3rd day we returned from a long day of work to find out that the room wasn't cleaned. Called the reception to complain about it and instead of receiving an apology, I was told that I hadn't told the receptionist in the morning that I wanted our room to be cleaned?? And to top it, the following day the suite still wasn't cleaned. After complaining yet another time a cleaning lady showed up to give the room a short "dust off" (no thorough cleaning). The pillows in the hotel are mountain high and very uncomfortable. I asked a few times for a thinner pillow - but apparently the hotel does only supply one size. So I was forced to sleep without a pillow in my bed. Staying in a suite in a 4*" hotel you are getting the service of a 2 star hotel. EDIT: After we returned home we were contacted by a member of the aftersale team who had read our complaint and took it seriously. She was very apologetic and offered us a discount for the next booking which we accepted. We are looking forward to seeing further improvements.

So my trip in rotterdam was very sprittig, one problem was that i ordered a gin tonic for 10€ and it put me to sleep it was to much gin and like 10% tonic so i only 1 star no problem

  • 1/5 Vania T. 1 year ago on Google
I gave a one star rating but please just note that if you visit this hotel and it happens that you forget something in your room it will magically dissappear and you will never see it again. Even if it is something without value like a pillow they will claim nothing was found in the room after checkout. However I find it basically impossible to miss something like a specific orthopedic pillow that looks totally different from the rest of the pillows on the bed with a different pillowcase. However. Now at least next time someone else visits with a neck problem they will have one available for them to use. Totally ridiculous that they claim nothing was found in the room. Next time I will visit somewhere I will leave my expensive pillow at home and have a horrible night's rest and wake up with a sore next. 🙄

Location was great for me because it was just a walking distance from the event I went to see. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel.

is not a 4-star hotel, service could be improved, clean rooms but old furniture, expensive parking

The room was lovely. Warm, spacious, I had an amazing view at the 12th floor. During the night it was quite noisy though. A lot of noise on the hall way as well as from other rooms.I didn't get that much rest. The phone to the restaurant doesn't work so I had to go downstairs, order, wait for a long time for the food as well. But the location is really good. right next to the metro. And if you are lucky, you can get a really nice view.

The hotel staff was very friendly, the food in the restaurant was very good too- try the fresh mint tea! And the rooms were very clean. Big shower and very comfortable bed!

Nice hotel, stayed in a family room which was very large and plenty of room for 4 of us. Parking available under hotel, just pay for at reception before your stay. Great access to the city, a tad noisy.

Pros Honestly, I was first skeptical with pictures of old bathroom in the review by previous guests, apparently as we arrived, they were doing major renovation on many floors and also the reception area, and the picture of old bathroom is probably has been renovated/upgraded. We got a standard room for less than 70 Eur and it was more than what we expected, the mattress is thick and high, decent interiors that makes you feel cozy and at home, heater worked well, and the bathroom look like a mix of minimalist and industrial with the concrete material wash basin, modern shower faucet, complete hygiene bottles provided. location is great, it is literally next to a metro station. On building orientation wise, the hotel is located with Erasmus bridge view or the sea view. But we got room that is facing on the other side which I was slightly sad because I really wanted to have the other side view but, it turned out that it has a very lovely sunrise view. Cons it has two ventilation exhaust fans, and it can be a bit disturbingly cold when occupying the room during cold season, winter. but nevertheless, you can just flip off the fan fully or half closed manually. The room exceeded our expectation however there is slight discomfort with the bathroom, I noticed there is no ventilation there that probably caused moldy smell that might been growing somewhere hidden around the wall panel.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for the weekend. A friend of ours came over on Saturday to visit the city, she planned to take the last train back to Amsterdam that night. Sadly that train was canceled and she was stuck in Rotterdam, having to wait for 5 hours until the next train. We offered her to wait in our room until the first train so she didn't have to freeze outside. In every hotel I have ever been this wouldn't have been a problem, she wasn't even going to sleep there. After 5 minutes we heard a knock on the door, it were they hotel people saying that they saw an extra person walking into our room. I explained them the situation and even offered them to pay them 50% extra for the room. The hotel was fully booked, so getting her another room was not possible. They refused and ordered her to leave immediately. So now they forced us to choose: Leave her freezing outside for hours, or pack our bags and check out so we could drive her back home. I am not doing that to a friend, so we checked out at midnight, cutting our fun city trip short. Sad that the hotel isn't more flexible in such situations, even when offered fair compensation. And another thing: The use very thick and soft top matrasses on the bed, which I find uncomfortable. So I removed it, only to find dozens of blood, pee and sweat stains in the underlying matrass. Was very disgusting and definitely a health risk.

Very good hotel. Loved the view. The rooms are sooooooo nice and comfortable. Service is nice and they are very friendly. Had some minor problems which unfortunately made 4 stars instead of five (AC didnt work, sink doesnt have an extension to put your toothbrush and etc..., and the restaurant and bar were closed due to renovation. Fortunately it wasnt noisy at all. And its a perfect location for a beginner traveler. Coming here again!

Nice clean room, comfortable bed and the glass elevator is cool. Still under construction so a fair bit of hammering/drilling which isn't great if you were planning a lazy day and the restaurant isn't part of the hotel so you can't charge costs to your room.
