When seated, you’re started off with a complimentary focaccia bread drizzled in balsamic and olive oil. We ordered the fried provolone to start which was delicious. I definitely recommend the house lasagne as the portion is large, it tastes absolutely fantastic and for $20 you will not find something better in the city. I can stomach a lot of food and I could not finish my dish. My girl had the house spaghetti and in house made meatballs which were amazing. The Waiting staff was extremely friendly and quick. This cute hidden gem is a definite must try for date night or any special occasion.

Outstanding experience at an old restaurant with many decades of history. The soup was fantastic. The food was tasty. Cozy place. Servers are friendly. The chefs are exceptional. Expect some delay when placing orders. I presume that is because food is made fresh... Which is a good thing. A really good place for a relaxed dinner when visiting Sunset Beach.

If you are looking for delicious, creative and fresh Italian food, then visit this restaurant. Food is amazing, fresh and great portions. We don't live in the area however, we've been here 2 times and both times, excellent. My 1 complaint was when I booked it, I mentioned we were bringing friends and celebrating a 60th birthday. Of course, upon arrival, the hostess asked who's birthday we were celebrating and then placed a birthday sign in front of our guest. We ordered our food and drinks and our server then asked if we wanted coffee / dessert. I thought the dessert would have been presented with a candle or something. Instead, he just placed it on the table, said enjoy and left. Why bother acknowledging with a sign if you're not going to present the dessert with a candle? I felt embarrassed since it was our choice to go here to celebrate and it didn't feel special at all. I think our server tried to make up for it by offering limoncella to which we accepted 2, not 4. All in all, food was perfect, service was good and ambiance, rustic.

Dinner here was excellent and highly recommended. Pam was a gracious and wonderful server who paid attention to detail adding to our wonderful experience…which is most appreciated especially during COVID-19. All of the food was delicious and large in proportion. The bread, pastas and desserts are handmade from scratch on-site. The cocktails were also a delight! Thanks so much for a wonderful dinner…we will be back!

We had an incredible time! The food was absolutely amazing. And the service was top-notch. Our server, Selena, gave excellent service as well as the chef; who brought out and described all of our dishes! Selena makes perfect martinis, especially the espresso martini. It’s perfect for a date night. We sat in a little nook surrounded by wine bottles that was very romantic. We are already planning to go back for our anniversary next month. Highly recommend!

I just don't know where to start. This restaurant was my second Italian restaurant and they have lived up to my expectation. The food was absolutely delicious. The asparagus soup of the day is amazing. Presentation was exceptional. I will definitely visit when I am in St Catherine's again. Well done to the service and chef.

Dined for a birthday dinner and was very impressed. Every aspect of our experience was perfect, each staff member we encountered was very professional and polite & the food was extraordinary. Portions were great and each dish was so flavourful. Menu had lots of options for anyone. Will definitely be back.

Wow simply wow. I was highly recommended to go to this restaurant because the food was amazing and fresh. Let me tell you that I have been to many great Italian restaurants for their homemade dishes but this place can't be compared. Starting of with our server Pam who was just amazing and very funny. Pam you get 10 Starts alone. Then we received our dishes and you certainly noticed how fresh and delicious everything was. This is the must go to restaurant if you enjoy the Italian cusine. Its cozy inside and a great place for a romantic meal. We will certainly be back for sure.

The food and service are excellent with my server, Alana being welcoming and helpful with wine and food selection. Pasta made fresh in-house was perfectly cooked. A memorable dining experience. Amazing place with one of the best Italian food. They keep privacy factor in mind, you’ll get a private space to enjoy your meal and company. The food in so delicious and tasty. The staff is best and friendly. They gave us free dessert because we were celebrating the birthday. Everything taste so amazing that you can not stop eating even if you are full. I love this place. And the staff is 11/10. They are so friendly and sweet. I recommend this place 100%. That was quite an experience and I am happy that we went there.

Nice intimate environment and a play on standard Italian fare. Not super cheap but you get what you pay for. I'll be back and would recommend to friends.

We received a gift card for this restaurant as part of a promotion from another business and am I ever glad we got to try it! The food was delicious and very authentic. We did takeout and got treated as good as a dine in customer. Every employee who walked past as I waited for my order greeted me and ensured I had been assisted. We even received the bread and oil dipper with our order which I didn’t expect. We did appetizers, two entrees and dessert and each item was of exceptional quality and taste, and the prices are beyond reasonable. Looking forward to trying The Valley again for a dine in experience.

From our interaction with the parking attendant (not really her actual job lol) when we first pulled up to the food and service, start to finish this was one of the best dining experiences I've had in my life (my wife agrees). The gnocchi here is the standard to which all other gnocchi shall be measured. The stuffed mushrooms the lemon pepper shrimp linguine, the gelato all superb. We will be back 💯

Awesome place, we go regularly. Everything fresh and very tasty! I had the mushroom soup and duck ravioli; to die for! Wife had mussels and pistachio crusted salmon,also delicious. Highly recommended!

Best Italian restaurant I've been to in years! The atmosphere is absolutely perfect and the pasta is all made by hand. This place does not disappoint. We were with a group of four, and there was not one disappointed person at our table. Everyone was surprised with the top level quality of the food. You have to check it out!

We celebrated with our friends their 1st wedding anniversary. Dinners was so yummy! Definitely the homemade dinner taste 😋 They acknowledged their anniversary with a complimentary Gelato with spritzers. A very special evening

This is one of the hidden gems when it comes to fine dinning Italian cuisine. One of the most beautiful interior and hands down the best hospitality I received in long time. Food was pure bliss and the owner is an absolute angel of a person. I'd recommend visit her every time you come towards St. Catherines or even Niagara. This is one place I'd be going more often in future.

Great hidden spot. Incredible food. We have been here twice and the amount of care that goes into the food preparation is noticeable. Chef comes by frequently to ask all if they like the food. Too tight inside personally for me. The decor is good and atmosphere is cozy. End of the day the food is a knockout. Highly recommend.

We came to celebrate my Mom, Sally’s birthday.. first time I had ever eaten and WOW we had an phenomenal time. Service was excellent, food was terrific, and the vibe was perfect. My favourite was their homemade focaccia bread! Highly recommend!

The Valley is a restaurant we try to visit on special occasions. The meals there are always fantastic and dining there can feel like an experience. During covid they had these beautiful privacy walls that really made you feel like you were in a small restaurant in Europe. They've since removed some, and I wish they'd bring them back because we loved the intimacy and privacy. Always excited to come to the Valley for dinner.

This restaurant is amazing and I did not want to leave!!! Our server Andrew was amazing and had a great sense of humour. The food was amazing, I had the Positano pasta. The noodles were so fresh and the lemon was AMAZING!! We ate on the patio and it was so quiet, relaxing and an amazing atmosphere all around. You have to get the Aligo e Formaggio was an amazing appetizer ❤️❤️❤️

Really fantastic food and service from our server Joe, and the rest of the Valley team! We reserved a spot online and when we arrived, it was clear they had read the request and got everything ready before we arrived! The food was excellent and had a great selection of vegetarian dishes and dishes that could easily have meat substituted for vegetables! Everything is made from scratch, including handmade pasta and amazing desserts. The limoncello cheesecake and raspberry sorbet were divine! Thanks, Joe and team for making our anniversary so special!

The food here is so good. Just make sure you have a reservation on the weekend because it gets pretty busy. The mushroom cannelloni is to die for! Service is always friendly and attentive.

Absolutely incredible experience. The service, atmosphere and food were outstanding. It was my partner’s 30th birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make it really special. We got the bruschetta to start, I got the pumpkin linguine and my partner got the duck ravioli (both daily specials). Wow wow wow. We will be back!

This was our first time at the restaurant and came based on reviews. The food was good and the service excellent but I think we have to give this restaurant another try as it didn't stand out a lot in our minds. We were brought focaccia after placing our order. It was a little disappointing because it was cold - like it was kept in a fridge or perhaps had been frozen. For appetizers my wife ordered the shrimp on beans which was delicious. The beans were cold and we wondered if it would have been better if they were a little warmer. Great spice and a touch of heat. I had the mussels which themselves tasted great and were healthy but the sauce was a bit on the boring side. Since the focaccia was also cold we didn't dip as much as we are used to. We ordered a glass of Prosecco each for the appetizer which was very tasty. Also, my appetizer came out before my wife's, not what you'd expect. For dinner my wife had the short rib, fall off the bone tender and delicious. I had the lamb ragu which was great - the sauce had lots of flavor and the basil was great. The gnocchi was hand made and had excellent body to it. Along with the meal with had a 2017 Luiano Chianti classico. It was opened and poured before our appetizers were served but could stand with being open longer. Once we had it with our meal the flavor really came out and it had an excellent body. Would highly recommend this wine. For dessert we chose the lemon cheesecake (my wife's choice) and the pecan pie. My wife really enjoyed hers and for me the pecan pie was fantastic. Not too sweet or heavy which I really enjoyed. Finally with the bill they brought us 2 small glasses of limoncello which was a great way to end the meal. Overall the portions were a good size for us. Not small but not overly large. I would recommend this place for a good meal. I think we need to try it again to see if it really stands out.

This is by far the best restaurant in St Catharines! It offers such a unique and pleasant fine-dining experience with a romantic atmosphere. The building and set up is absolutely stunning and has that European feel. More importantly, the food is out of this world!! The serving sizes are larger than expected and great value. They have an excellent variety of drink and food options, I wanted to try everything! We got the charcuterie board, mussels, calamari, and gnocchi and everything was sooo delicious, I’m craving it again just thinking about it! Thank you to our lovely server! She was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant itself! Such an amazing experience overall and I will definitely recommend to friends. Can’t wait to be back! :)

Valley is the best Italian restaurant in St. Catharines hands down. Great service, amazing food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Even during these COVID times they've done very well to offer both outdoor and indoor dining.

Gnocchi were amazing, fish was excellent and antipasti were all great. Being Italian I was very happy with everything we ordered. Just like home. My spouse truly enjoyed the veal lemon piccata as it was perfection and so tender melted in your mouth. We will definitely go back again and tell our friends and family.

Went here for a birthday dinner. Had a great experience. The food was delicious. Staff were all pleasant and very friendly. Nice decor inside, and they also have ample patio seating. Great place to go to if you like Italian! They also brought out complimentary dessert for my birthday and the chef came out to wish me. Small gestures like this go a long way.

MY FAVOURITE!!! There aren't enough words to describe just how much I love this restaurant. I have NEVER had a bad experience. To be honest, they exceed my expectations each time I go. The food is spectacular,!!! We just went for dinner this past Friday night and had Jade as our server. She was so knowledgeable when it came to the food and wine list, personable, friendly and thoughtful. No matter who the server is, the service is always top-notch. I had called a few days prior to make the reservation and I asked for a table that was a bit private. To our great surprise, as we followed the host to be seated, we ended up with our very own private nook. Surrounded by walls of wine! It couldn't have been more private and we were blown away! We started out with our appetizers: Calamari & Crostini with fig jam. Both were scrumptious! For our entrees. my partner had the Blackened Arctic Char (special) and I had the Beef Tenderloin with all of the extra toppings (worth it!). My meat was literally melt-in-my-mouth and you could cut through it like butter. My partner's fish was so delicious that I recall saying to him, "I never order fish in restaurants, but I would choose that regularly!" We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Nadia, and she was so caring and attentive. She goes around to all of her diners to make sure they're enjoying themselves and she has such a sweet demeanor. At the end of the night, I asked for some of my leftovers in a box and Jade showed up with a take out bag that not only contained my leftovers, but included a big surprise: a bottle of Chenin Blanc to take home. She said that she felt bad that our entrees took some time, but I told her, "I would've waited 2 hours for this food...it's that good!' Besides, the wait wasn't long and the company, wine & ambience made it practically unnoticeable. There is not doubt that this is the hidden gem in St. Catharines. Do yourselves a favour and go there as soon as you can. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Words cannot describe the quality and effort put into every dish. This is my favourite restaurant by a mile and a half, it’s always busy and for good reason, it’s the best. I visit weekly when home in the area and I encourage anyone and everyone to visit. You cannot go wrong with valleys.
