My friends and I came here at 20:45. We aren't Japanese and admittedly some places don't accept non-Japanese customers as they don't speak English and don't have English menus, which is fine as it's clearly a lot of hassle. But this place said "English menu available" and "open till 24:00". A man came out of the kitchen and told us they're closed. There we tonnes of people in the place and I could see lots of seats available. I called him out on his prejudice and he just pretended not to understand before claiming they're fully booked (which contradicts his claim that they're closed). Anyway, racist and mean. Don't go here.

Impolite staff. Sorry to say but it became a touristic little town and restaurant owner was impolitely telling to go away as it was full not even asking question if it was possible to come later.

We went there on a sunday evening and ordered the menu B. The meat was totally delicous!! Especially the Hida premium beef, best meat we have ever eaten. It is a traditional japanese restaurant where you take off your shoes but you can sit either at the bar or also at a comfortable table (western seats). service is excellent and english menu available.

Amazing dinner (and cheap compared to danish prices haha). We had the set for 4200 yen per person and it was delicious. We had a great time. Staff was really nice and helpful and the atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and lively. Would definitely recommend. They do have cover charge around 770 yen, which we did not see or get informed about before getting the check.

English menu available and all menus have pictures. I recommend reserving with tabelog.

Worth place to try Hida beef. Reasonable price. Not expensive as matsusaka or kobe.

Probably one of the better places in Takayama to try the reknown Hida Wagyu. Good price point to sample a variety of cuts. Set meals comes with a variety of food other than meat which makes it a place for everyone. Note to reserve 2 days in advance for the full tasting of Hida Wagyu.

One of the best yakiniku meals I’ve ever had. The 33 pc tasting course is an amazing deal, a huge volume, great assortment, and high quality all the way through.

Nice and cosy restaurant that open till late. Came in around 9pm for late dinner and was given the counter seats. They have a huge selection of meats and cuts available, which were all delicious! We also notice they do have private rooms with curtains so you can request for that if you prefer some privacy. Overall a decent BBQ restaurant with a good selections of meat.

Folks here are so friendly it’s crazy! Quality of the beef is great and relatively inexpensive while still getting top quality food. Highly recommend :)
