Horse Camp
Campground
ππ Well worth the hike, this location not only has beautiful views of Mt Shasta peak and its surroundings, but it is an important piece of its history for almost a century (1922) and its well preserved. It has a natural spring, camping grounds and well taken care of toiletes (believe me, you will be gr...

Bunny Flat Trailhead
Hiking area
ππ It offers two trails - Ski Bowl and Horse camp. Ski Bowl is higher in elevation and a longer hike. Beautiful, scenic views but it was hard to follow the trail because it was covered in snow still. If youβre feeling adventurous, Iβd recommend ski bowl but if not - Horse camp is your best option.

Shastice Park
Park
ππ Very appealing park...They have much more than I photographed.
We spent time in the grassy area between where we parked and the baseball fenced in area.
They have plenty of trees π³ π
for shade. Some people were throwing a football and having a good time. All in All a great place to spend the day....

Box Canyon Dam
Hydroelectric power plant
π Do you want to visit th dam? Forget it. It's surrounded by fence and wires. Also, as we are in a drought, they won't let any water out. So the dam is giant slap of dry concrete.
The lake formed by the dam maybe worth visiting. I see people playing on the beaches.

Shasta Abbey

ππ No where to go, thousands of miles from home, and coming to terms with something that happened to me a few nights prior while in the desert of Nevada, I found myself standing outside of the gate of the Abbey asking to come in.
