Very poor indeed. 90 minutes to make up a bed for our child (despite four promises of 20 minutes) however the child's bed was broken so he had to sleep on the mattress on the floor. Put the do not disturb light on but the staff came in anyway and tidied the room. Went down to the spa but they had no towels. The basics of a hotel must surely be a bed, towels and privacy. In this case a complete failure. Would NOT recommend EDIT: The hotel have been in touch to make amends for our stay which we greatly appreciate

SUMMARY: STAY AWAY! VERY BAD We booked a suite for 2 nights. The hotel staff was extremely unfriendly. When we got in the room. We were missing a pillow and a blanket for one of our kids and the fridge wasn't working. They fixed it. After a couple of hours the electricity in one of the rooms went down. One of the lamps was broken. The bathroom wasn't cleaned, there was hair in the bathtub! When I called to complain about the room the staff again was very rude! WORST HOTEL I STAYED IN FOR A LONG TIME! NOT WORTH HALF THE MONEY WE PAID! . STAY AWAY.

There are a lot of mosquitoes in the room, there is no protective net or other means of protection. The air conditioner does not cool, it only works for heating. Blankets are only warm. There are not enough parking spaces. The food in the restaurant is not very high quality. Only water is freely served, the rest is drinks for an additional fee.

The rooms were not cleaned at all - there were stains on the bathroom floor and the carpet was dirty. The rooms MUST be renovated - they sre still in the 1980s and you can fill and sense it... In addition, we were 5 people with bedding for only 4 - we asked for additional bed and had to wait 7 hours till 10:30pm to get the bed (my 8 years old had to wait till 10:30pm to sleep in his bed). On the other hand, the food was very good and the pools were bog with lots of sitting area. Bottom line, don't recommend till they renovate and clean the rooms....

Overall the hotel was ok for its price, nice breakfast+dinner. The problem was the room: it was dirty and smelled of smoke. The view from the room +the location of the hotel was nice. DO NOT GO into the swimming pool, it's VERY dirty. Not all of the reception desks were open so there was a queue. The service was good.

The hotel has gorgeous sea views, offers decent food and friendly service. We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel with our little daughter.

The location and dining facility is the only good thing about this place. From construction at 9am to rude staff, they just don’t care about their guest. The entertainment is mildly entertaining, but highly lackluster. The room has stains. Our shower was clogged and after informing the front desk that the bathroom flooded, all they did was clean up the water. The pools are dirty and the lifeguard did not want to do his job, it was like he felt burdened. Not worth the price paid. Bartenders are too busy trying to get laid to serve drinks. My fellow Americans, this “luxury” retreat is comparable to just a step above a Motel 6. Go somewhere else.

Day 1: Waiting in line for about 30 minutes, finally received our room: the room was smelling bad and it was dirty. The food isn’t good and its really cold. The hotel is not child friendly it has no activities for childrens, the hotel is mostly for people over 16 years old. The bathroom is not clean. The rooms are dusty and the balcony is not clean. The pool slide was broken and the lifeguards were on their phones all the time. The swimming pool is very dirty it looks like its only washed on Sundays. Day 2: The workers are not good, the lunch was really bad and there was no choice of food we had to ask the workers to give us we asked the workers to bring more food they gave us frozen shnitzel, so we went to the reception to tell them that the food was awfull and to give us money back, the owner of the hotel (Yulia) didnt give us anything. The hotel is dirty and it has a lot of cockroaches. The hotel is located 10 minutes from the dead sea.

Nice view. Bad service and food. They don’t have private beach, but there are some chairs and umbrellas on the public beach. The male employee on the beach said I must pay 10 New Sheqel for a chair. Very impolite.

One of the worse hotels we’ve stayed in.. It seems as if the hotel was never cleaned up and maintenance is horrible. The pool in specific was practically filthy Dining room dishes were repeatedly unavailable with very long delays until they were refilled by the Hotel staff.

A little village within itself. You almost need Waze to get around. Very busy when we were there. Generally great. Should be for what we paid as it's definitely not cheap!! Staff pretty good and friendly, with the dining room a very impressive effort, though Shabbat lunch left just a little to be desired as the salads didn't seem to be having their best day. Will be back though, if there's a special occasion.

Facilities are nice, view is great, food is mostly sababa (not great, not bad). No smoking zones are technically defined (with signs) but not enforced, so the smell of cigarettes is common around the pool (including kids area).

The rooms we were assigned were acceptable, but unfortunately, the hotel appears to lack proper maintenance. Everything seems old and worn, with noticeable scratches. Additionally, the shower tends to flood after each use. On the positive side, the hotel's location offers a 5-7 minute walk to the beach, and there's also a shuttle option available. The dining room served delicious food, and the service was pleasant. We appreciate the spacious Sukkah, though we're uncertain if the overall experience justifies the cost.

I am very happy from the service of this hotel. The food is tasty. I had a good time in the pool spa. Public area is clean all the day. And I recommend to come David Dead Sea.

Nice relaxing place. Not perfect but they offer a lot. Buffet was very large, great for salad eaters. View of the sea was great. Had nice mornings. Would recommend

#1 FIRE HAZARD. The dining room seats hundreds of people. There are several sets of doors leading directly outside. However, the doors are all BOLTED shut. In an emergency, everyone would exit would through to a small lobby and then an external door to get outside. A stampede could be avoided if the interior doors were not bolted. The dining room manager wasn't concerned about this. #2 Horrible beds. Old and uncomfortable. #3 Low quality food. While there is an abundance of food, much of it was either dried out, greasy, bland or otherwise unappealing. Limitations in quality control can also be seen in the broken water bottle at our table. #4 This hotel is not ideal for non-Hebrew speakers. It was hard to get basic information. For example, what is the best way to get to the beach? Maps and activities were only listed in Hebrew. #5 It is difficult to describe the spa where my husband and I each got massages. As mentioned in #4, it was difficult to get information. We thought we were getting a couple's massage and that wasn't the case. During our massages we were told little and asked nothing. During the mud wrap portion of the experience, we were left alone in a dank room with no music but at least there was a clock on the wall. The physical setting could be described as rustic at best. But that may make it seem appealing. There are more negatives--see other reviews! Were there any positives? Yes. #1. There are signs in the main lobby that this was once a grand hotel. Unique artwork can be found in the main halls. #2. There was excellent water pressure in the shower. This is the only disappointing hotel during our two week Israeli visit.

The personnel is rude and they talk to you very arrogant and aggressive. At the beach their guy started to clean the seat while I was staying there and he threw all the sand on my face with a towel. At the restaurant they don’t wait until you finish eating. They take the food from you and make you leave. The cards from our rooms were working a couple of times and after that you need to change them. We change the cards at least 2 times. Not recommending this hotel.

This is a good enough hotel in the Dead Sea. The views are incredible. Big rooms, decent food. Staff not very friendly. It’s good for the price. Not extraordinary but works for a couple of nights.

A very good location and with excellent facilities. The hotel staff is well qualified and very kind, the food very diverse and very tasty, many facilities for the SPA, and bathing in salt water pools. A quiet and desirable place for vacation. Thank you to the team at Hotel David, you deserve 11 stars! I will definitely be back and I recommend everyone visiting the Dead Sea to stay at DAVID, a lively hotel!

Rooms were nice and comfortable. One of the outlets weren't working near the bed. Shower and tub was nice and I liked the saop/shampoo. Toilet was small for no reason. There was a variety of food but some items weren't so fresh in the included breakfast. I also appreciated the artwork and waterfall in the lobby area. The outdoor saltwater pool was closed and the slide on the regular outdoor pool was closed, otherwise the outdoor pool was large and nice however the chairs are old. Short walk to the beach.

Day one, check in: total chaos. Very long line and only three check-in clerks for the size of the hotel of about 1,000 rooms. People are screaming and yelling. Finally, I got my room. Not what I expected. The room was in need of repairs. The sliding door would not slide. The refrigerator is behind the sliding door inside the closet and the door is facing inward. The weirdest thing I've ever seen. The Internet doesn't work. I complained to the management and was given a runaround. Finally, after speaking to many managers and assistants of general managers I got another room. The Internet is still spotty and for the most time is not usable due to very low level signals and or very low bandwidth. After speaking with many managers it appears that they have a systemic problem with the internet among other things. I tried to enjoy the Terrace but in their infinite wisdom they pointed a high power projector right at my Terrace to light up the side of the building that practically nobody sees. The only way I could avoid the blinding light to see the sea was to move deep inside the Terrace. Again, I spoke with many of their managers to turn the light off and they promised me that they would but they never did. I wasted a lot of time with them with aggravations during my vacation that I was supposed to enjoy. I have never experienced such uncooperative, indifferent and simply unaccommodating management and staff in over 40 years of travel. They seem like they're in constant damage control mode instead of fixing the problem and making people happy enjoying the stay.

Great location next to the Dead Sea. After floating in the Dead Sea near the hotel, guests can continue the experience of floating in dense salt water under more convenient environment in the indoor and outdoor salt water pools within the hotel. Managed to catch sunrise from the room balcony too.

Outstanding location. Beautiful hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Superb buffet restaurant. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough with my only disappointment being that it was a one night stay. A short walk to the Dead Sea and the strangest experience of being buoyant, not just floating. Satisfied with that exper it was time for a mud rub! Highly recommended.

Food was awesome. Such a variety. The view was amazing. To check in and out was difficult as there was a long queue. The spa section was my favourite. Amazing jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and warm pool. The staff could be a little friendlier, but that might just be my South African coming out.

MINUS FIVE STARS! AVOID THIS HOTEL, DON'T LOOK AT THE ATTRACTIVE PRICES!!!! You will only spoil your Dead Sea days. This hotel's mission is to keep all the guests disappointed and angry whenever possible. RUDE STAFF! Everything is DIRTY and/or BROKEN. 2 laps in my room were broken, 1 socket was off, the little freezer inside the fridge didn't have a door (broken!), so it was all covered by ice and didn't stop making noise 24/7. I couldn't lock the room door as it was completely broken too. The manager fixed the door, but I had to wait for 1 hour late in the evening. I asked 5 times to have a room with a sunrise view, 4 times online prior to arrival and 1 time in person during the check-in, but I had NONE, they completely ignored me. They don't open the spa on time. In my room, there were towels from the previous guests. At 9 am A MALE CLEANER entered my room, I was lucky I was dressed! What if I was asleep???? Apparently, to avoid that, you have to use the Don't Disturb lamp even if you don't get up late. There was tobacco smell in the room all the time from other balconies where guests smoke and nobody cares, so you won't be able to sleep with an open window. And when I called and asked about the possibility of late check-out a rude lady told me I must come down to the reception to ask about that and I cannot ask about that by phone. WHAT???? This team doesn't know what is hospitality!

The convenient location of this place makes it an excellent choice. Within 5-minutes you’ll be at the Dead Sea shore. The staff is very friendly, and eager to help. We even met a guard on the night shift named Joseph whose tips enriched our experience in Israel. Some other people on my group had issues, which were not solved as promptly as expected. Some improvement is needed on the management side to avoid such problems. However, the tips we got upgraded this property to a 5 star!!

A very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. As a vegetarian food wasn't satisfactory and there was an awkward towel shortage. Also scheduling a massage was also a painful task because of bad answering service. Overall: nice.

Location is a bit away from the beach, but there is a shuttle from the hotel. Room is big with a nice view, but all inside the room is very old and not updated... Food and activities were very good overall. The salty pools and spa are great, the standard pool is ok, part of it was closed. All in all it was a good experience

Walking location to the dead see, great views from hotel, dinner buffet was great. I asked hotel staff for a glass of ice at 800 pm dinner staff said we don't have any more ice. Went to front desk asking for a glass of ice told to go to the bar. Bar staff did give me a small glass of ice. I'm an American we love ice. Let me haven't access to an ice machine and I will leave you alone.

Do not stay here. Most of the business is with large tour companies who I presume don’t stay long. Rooms aren’t clean — toilets were not clean, bed had hair, cigarette found on floor of our room, balcony covered in dirt and bird poop. Strong sickly sweet fragrance is pumped into the lobby at all times.

Beautiful hotel with nice rooms and surrounding grounds. The dining room was a little crowded for me, but the food was good. The spa was nice but some of the masseuses did not speak English, which made communication a bit difficult.

The only two things that were very good are the location and the size of the room we took. Other then that - food was disappointing ( we paid for breakfast and dinner), the facilities felt old and the biggest problem was that we didn't get the help we needed with a broken lock to the balcony (we have 2 young kids and it is a Hazzard!). Not worth the price at all

Very wonderful and beautiful from the outside and inside and the view is very wonderful the food is very clean and wonderful, very tasty, deserves all respect and appreciation for whoever made this delicious food, the pool is large and very beautiful, and the rooms are clean. Thank you to all the customers in the kitchen and cleaning department. Everything was excellent, worth returning to it with confidence and pleasure.

This hotel has a perfect location- on one end the beautiful mountains and on the other the breathtaking Dead sea (although it’s not actually on the beach, but it’s close enough..). The hotel is spacious and I think even well planned but it is so under-maintained and outdated. Sadly it is literally filthy on every corner you turn - public areas and rooms and it’s not like they’re not trying but it looks like they are seriously under -staffed. Food is mostly good, even great some times. Very generous portions and verity. It’s just feels like it needed a good, thorough, comprehensive renovation, about 5 years ago. I can’t say I had a bad time but it wasn’t great

Lovely clean hotel. Buffet food very good standard. Staff extremely kind. Would definitely come again. Small points:pool area very loud music, quiet pool area not for children, room cleaner left dirty cups and the used towels. Gift shop perishables past sell by dates. Need for more signage in other languages 😊

This place is terrible don’t recommend I came here with my family for two days and that was the worst Decision I ever made the hotel had rust all over the walls there were hairs in the bath tub the toilet was extremely small and the suite was overall GROSS! When we went down stairs to the cafeteria we ordered food and only half of it 1 hour later the other half came 2 hours after we asked them why and they simply said because the chef went missing I’ve never seen such bad costumer service another incident that occurred was when I went to the front desk to get a new key card for by suite the lady had the audacity to ignore me and speak on the phone instead I’m very upset with my experience and really don’t recommend coming we stayed at a hotel called Yisrotel which is down the street and definitely recommend it I usually don’t leave a bad review but this was I must! DONT COME HERE!!

Very large hotel, extensive public areas, clean and well equipped, relatively spacious rooms with fairly mediocre maintenance (parts in unconnected closets and closet handle and its surroundings dirty that I avoid touching)) Breakfast and dinner plentiful and varied and most delicious and fresh, Wi-Fi is very poor and despite repairs No results, in 2022 I expect a better internet level in the hotel
